Abstract

Though the role of knowledge intensive services in knowledge creation and distribution has been verified, the mechanism of knowledge creation and dissemination in knowledge intensive services has tended to remain elusive. Basing on the approach of knowledge systems and theory of knowledge transferring process, this paper studies the pattern of knowledge creation and dissemination of knowledge intensive services in and between knowledge system, which emphasize the importance of tacit knowledge and culture milieu. According to pattern above, we make an analysis of the roles played by management consultancy firms in and between knowledge systems. Finally, some implications for enhancing capacity of knowledge management in management consultancy firms are discussed.
