Abstract

Porous medium vacuum drying is a complicated heat and mass transfer process. Based on theory of energy and mass balance, a moisture model for vacuum drying porous medium was constructed. The model is implemented and solved with two-dimensions by finite element method (FEM). The temperature, moisture and pressure inner porous medium is discussed. The moisture temperature, and moisture and temperature stress inner porous medium is simulated. The results show that the temperature stress is the larger than the moisture stress, the total stress is the drag stress. The pressure gradient is far then the moisture and temperature stress, and the effect of pressure on drying quality can be not ignored.
