Abstract
Photoionization and fragmentation of CHF 2Cl were studied with photoionization mass spectroscopy (PIMS) and photoionization efficiency spectroscopy (PIES) at NSRL. Ionization potential of CHF 2Cl was obtained and major fragment ions CHF 2 +, CHFCl +, CHF +, and CF + were observed with their appearance energies, respectively. Dissociation energies of some possible dissociation channels were deduced. The processes of photoionization and fragmentation of CHF 2Cl are discussed based on the comparison between determined appearance energies and energies predicted by the Gaussian-2 calculations.
