Abstract

XR (eXtended Reality) technologies play an increasing role in education. Physics education suggests great opportunities for the practical realization of XR teaching. Observation is one of the most important research method used by physics. The primary role of an XR technology user is to be an observer. This makes it easy to adopt them for physics learning. By this reason XR technologies turn out in the center of the physics teachers' attention. The paper deals with the methodological and practical aspects of XR observations in physics classes. It describes definitions of observation, the procedure of observations, types of XR observations, tools of XR observations, labworks based on XR observations, the opportunity of making simplest observational XR managers by students, and the students’ opinion about this version of XR technology. The wide availability of XR technologies allows us to apply them in physics classes right now. Both students and teachers can use it easily.
