Abstract
Phase transformations in the binary Ni-Al (7 wt % Al) alloy which take place upon decomposition of an oversaturated solid solution are studied using the method of differential scanning calorimetry. The process of the Ni3Al phase formation is shown to be related to the release of the latent heat of crystallization.
