Abstract

The influence of rigidity and damping properties on roll wave phase speed in large-dimension shells, streamlined with fluid flow is investigated. It is shown that the roll wave in the finite-length shell can exist only with the presence of damping. The phase speed estimations under varied flexural rigidity are obtained.
