Abstract
The processes of disturbance propagation in laminar boundary layers at high external flow velocities are studied. For the first time, solutions to the Faulkner−Skan equation for compressible flows are obtained, in addition to those found by Stewartson. The dependence of the propagation velocity of disturbances upstream on the pressure gradient parameter is determined for various values of the temperature factor.
