Abstract

With the advancement of the Belt and Road, more deep study of Myanmar and other Southeast Asian countries is becoming urgent and necessary. Under this background, Myanmar, the essential historical area, is also the hub connecting the Belt and Road, as well as the window of the Southeast Asian cities and architectures that we shall study. Its traditional architecture technology is different from masonry structure of India and other Southeast Asian countries. Large space buildings are covered with arch system, which takes brick most and is supplemented by stone. It is original and widely used in Myanmar’s religious buildings.
