Abstract
In this study, LiNCM [Li(Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)] powder was synthesized by thermal degradation of oxalate anion. It is more stable than LiCoO2 and also has a higher capacity than LiNiO2 . NCM [(Ni1/ 3Co1 / 3Mn1 /3)C2O4 ·xH2O(s)] was synthesized by mixing ammonium oxalate monohydrate, nickel nitrate hexahydrate, cobalt nitrate hexahydrate, and manganese acetate tetrahydrate in aqueous solution. The solution was centrifuged and the precipitation residue was dried for 3 h at 200 °C. The obtained precursor powder of NCM was mixed with LiOH and sintered at 850 °C for 24 h. Annealing at 500 °C was performed again, to obtain the crystalline form of the LiNCM. With the sintered and annealed LiNCM, cathode was fabricated by mixing polyvinylidene fluoride and Super‐P in N‐methylpyrrolidone. Its charge–discharge voltages profile, C‐rate test, and cycle life test were investigated.
