Abstract

Discusses the author's personal struggle with finitude while conducting his doctor of ministry project. The project was a support group for cancer nurses designed to help them face and work through their finitude so that the amount and quality of their time with cancer patients would increase. While conducting the project the author was confronted by his own struggle with finitude which resulted in significant changed in his personal and professional life. Finitude is defined as the condition of being a creature with limited abilities. The struggle with finitude results from our attempts as creatures to become Creator. However, the article does not concern itself with the project, but instead focused on the author's personal struggle with finitude.
