Abstract

In August 1987, the Central American Peace Plan, designed by Costa Rican President Oscar Arias Sanchez, was signed by the other Central American presidents. In this text, Moreno examines the complex and uneven processes by which the five nations arrived at a commonly acceptable peace agreement.
