Abstract

An investigation of the alkaloidal constituents of Delphinium andersonii Gray led to the isolation of andersobine ( 4), a new diterpenoid alkaloid. Its structure has been deduced on the basis of 1H, 13C, 1H homonuclear COSY, HETCOR, one dimensional nOe, 2D nOe, and selective INEPT nmr spectral studies.
