Abstract

23,24-Dihydrocucurbitacin-F has been isolated from hemsleya amabilis. Its structure was studied in detail by H-1- and C-13-, H-1, H-1 COSY, H-1, C-13 HETCOR, H-1, C-13 LOCOR, and 1D NOE NMR spectroscopy. All H-1- and C-13-spectral data for this compound have been assigned, and some assignments of H-1 and C-13 signals have been revised based on the 2D NMR spectra. In particular, previously unassigned methyl and hydroxy signals have been completely assigned via NOE and H-1, C-13-LOCOR experiments.
