Abstract

The rare earth luminescence materials LaOBr:Tb3+(Dy3+) were synthesized at high temperature (HT) and treated by high pressure (HP), and the structure and luminescence characteristics of the samples were studied. The results show that the co-doping with Dy3+ may make the luminescence strength increase greatly and energy transfer takes place between Tb3+ and Dy3+ cations. The XRD results show that no obviously structural change occurs after the HP and HT treatment.
