Abstract
Abstract The nonlinearity of the Mikhailov plot for deformed doubly even nuclei is discussed. The spectral and electromagnetic properties of 158 Dy and 232 Th are calculated within the simple phenomenological mixing model. The results of numerical calculations and theoretical analysis within perturbation theory have shown that the discussed nonlinearity is caused by mixing of β- and γ-vibrational bands.
