Abstract

Page's L statistic of ordinal quality was used to test an aspect of Holland's Theory of Personality Types and Model Environments. The theory was operationalized and tested through the Strong Vocational Interest Blank (SVIB) at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. It was found that the rank order of SVIB occupational groups supported Holland's assertion that occupants of each Model Environment demonstrate the appropriate Personality Type.
