Abstract

This paper is an ascertaining study that refers to the existing determinism between the stress level and the type of predominant temperament. The subjects of the research were 20 athletes (10 girls, 10 boys) from the Faculty of Physical Education and Mountain Sports - Brasov, team sports practitioners. A battery of psychological tests was applied once, the overall conclusion of the research being that the stress-temperament-gender relationship is complex, with many effects and peculiarities. In this sense, the correct approach is considered to be an individual one that analyzes both causes and ways of managing stress according to the possibilities and particularities of each individual.
