Abstract

In this letter we present the results of our numerical simulations for the finite temperature electroweak phase transition using the SU(2)-Higgs model on four-dimensional lattices at m H ≈80 GeV. The temporal extension L t =2 is used for asymmetric lattice spacings with an asymmetry parameter a s / a t ≈4. The measured thermodynamical quantities (interface tension, jump of the order parameter and latent heat) suggest that the phase transition is of very weakly first order.
