Abstract
The study aims to clarify the influence of deformation of drill pipe inside the raiser pipe due to axial load and torque for the off-shore boring technique To estimate the deformation of practical pipe of alternately stepped cross sections jointed with screwed thread’s fittings is so trouble-some that the ideal equivalent pipe with uniform cross section is introduced. The deformation of this ideal equivalent pipe is discussed. The most important points of this problem are made a proposal to predict the ideal equivalent pipe with sufficient effects of the drill pipe with alternately stepped cross sections in practical use.
