Abstract
Soviet society is going through an important stage in its progress: the direct preparations for the next, Twenty-seventh Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union in February 1986 have begun. The Congress will adopt the new version of the CPSU Program and will define the guidelines for economic and social development of the country for the Twelfth Five-Year Plan (1986-1990) and the period up to 2000.
