Abstract

ABSTRACT This article compares the tactics and strategies used by precarious workers who fought through the union and those who engaged in struggle without being led by the trade union. Even though both groups fought separately and used different form of organisations, they used almost identical tactics and strategies. Most importantly, both groups of workers believed that only through a trade union could they win better pay and conditions. This article draws on data sourced from primary (interviews) and secondary sources.
