Abstract

Internet of things is the recent progressions in communication technology. It is an affordable computing and implantable technology. Numerous devices like wearable devices, portable devices continuously working for several applications such as smart home, smart city, smart education, smart power, and so on. IoT applications are working under untrusted environments, probably malicious attackers present in the network. Hence, effective security technology is required for IoT applications that can identify and authenticate valid users. IoT applications demand lightweight technology for the security model. Physically Unclonable Functions (PUFs) is a new concept based on the built-in manufacturing variations, it provides hardware security. In this work, we design and implemented 8-bit, 16bit, 32bit and 64 bit delay-based Arbiter PUF, EX_OR Puf, and Feedforward PUFs on two Zynq-7000 XC7Z020 FPGAs (ZedBoard development boards) The proposed delay-based PUF has entirely accomplished on 28 nm Soc-FPGAs. Our focus is on reducing area consumption, increasing speed, and consuming low power.
