Abstract
Rhodes grass (Chloris gayana Kunth. cv. common) is a halophytic forage grass. Like most halophyles, its growth is positively affected by low levels of salinity but is inhibited by high salinity. However, such a definition is not clear and not unmistakable: NaCl concentrations which inhibit the growth of the whole plant stimulate the growth of single roots when applied to them individually.
