Abstract
Abstract The Lewis acid-promoted reaction of 2-phenylthiocyclobutanemethanol derivatives with silyl nucleophiles gave the corresponding trisubstituted olefins with high stereoselectivity in good yields. It is suggested that the reaction proceeds via the thionium ion intermediate.
