Abstract
This paper presents a new information model of mechanical product based on the STEP for an integrated CAD/CAM system in concurrent engineering environment. Based on the analysis of the information requirements for integrated product development process, product infonnation modelling in current situation is discussed. The methodology of product modelling and the complete, consistent integrated product model of multi view is proposed, in which a different kinds of domain infonnations are integrated into one model by the combination of STEP AP214 UoFs with parametric feature. This new multi view model is also used as the basic work for the infrastructure development of concurrent engineering.
