Abstract

Modern rare kaon decay experiments are capable of some of the most promising tests for new physics beyond the standard model. They also provide opportunities to study highly suppressed standard model effects, such as direct CP violation. I will review the current status and recent results of rare kaon decay experiments and describe the prospects for experiments being prepared to run in the near future.
