Abstract

Background The incidence of patients with refractory angina pectoris(RAP) has increased,but various clinical treatment effect is not ideal,spinal cord electrical stimulation (SCS) in the treatment of RAP more reports and achieved remarkable curative effect.Objective To review the status of clinical application of SCS in the treatment of RAP in order to increase the awareness and understanding of the technology,promote its clinical application.Content To narrate the brief history of the development about the SCS for the treatment of RAP,electrode implantation and stimulation methods,introduce its possible therapeutic mechanism,indications and contraindications,objectively discusses analysis of the existing dispute.Trend SCS in the treatment of RAP is a safe and effective method,should be a large sample study to investigate its mechanism,make it safer and more suitable for clinical application.
