Abstract

Matrix elements of heavy-light bilinears measured on the lattice are compared to their continuum counterparts. The heavy quark is treated using the static effective field theory, and the light quark is treated as a staggered fermion. The time component of the axial current is the bilinear used to determine f B. We derive identities which simplify the calculations involving staggered fermions by reducing them to calculations involving naive fermions.
