Abstract

This review focuses on high-pressure diamond synthesis processes, some of which have been used in commercial-scale production of diamond powder and large single crystals for more than forty years now, and on the role and types of vapor-phase activation in rapidly developing technologies of diamond films and wafers—excellent candidates for near-term industrial application.
