Abstract

The aim of this study was to find out the actual structures and dynamics the mixed stands of Taurus Fir (Abies cilicica Carr.) and Anatolian Black Pine (Pinus nigra Arn. subsp. pallasiana (Lamb.) Holmboe) and pure stands of Brutian pine (Pinus brutia Ten.), Oak (Quercus spp.) and Crimean Juniper (Juniperus excelsa Bieb.) of “Kovada Lake National Park” located in Isparta Regional Forest. In the study, 10 sample plots have been separated to represent the pure and mixed stands of the National Park. In this contex, 3 sample plots for Taurus Fir and Anatolian Black pine mixed stands and 4 sample plots for Brutian pine, 2 sample plots for Oak and 1 sample plot for Crimean Juniper pure stands have been selected, respectively. The distributions of volume and volume characteristics of the top, middle and bottom stories of stands have been determined in the representative of those selected sample plots. In addition, the silvicultural evaluations related to the structures of the stands have been carried out. Keywords: National park, Silviculture, Stand dynamics, Stand structure
