Abstract

The decay of H-atoms in several γ-irradiated aqueous solutions was examined by ESR spectroscopy from 77°K to 150°K. In perchloric acid the decay indicates the presence of two trapping sites. The more strongly trapped H-atoms decay by a first-order process, apparently resulting from a slow release from the traps followed by a fast reaction.
