Abstract

Abstract The spin-orbit interaction constant λRESs in the relaxed excited state of F center (RES) and the temperature dependence of spin-lattice relaxation time in the RES have been determined via the study of magnetic circular polarization of F center emission (MCP). An essential factor for this determination lies in the experimental estimation of the proportionality constant F p between the paramagnetic component of MCP and spin polarization in the RES. The values of F p and λres disagree with those proposed previously. The origin of the discrepancy is discussed.
