Abstract
The complicated spin configuration observed in YMn 2 with the cubic Laves phase (C15) structure is deduced through the exchange interactions between the second and/or third neighbors together with the antiferromagnetic interaction between the nearest neighbors, by making use of the Luttinger-Tisza method on the classical spin Heisenberg model. The spin configuration is described with a modulation wave vector pointing at the X point on the Brillouin zone boundary and shown to be stable with respect to its small deviations, i.e., long range modulations.
