Abstract
The dispersion equation with propagation losses for the magnetostatic surface wave (MSSW) is solved. The influence of dissipation leads to the appearance of the new “damping” MSSW in the new part of the excitation range. There is the threshold wave number which restricts the spectrum to possible wave numbers.
