Abstract

We investigate the mass spectrum and various other properties of the heavier naked beauty (b\(\bar c\)) and open top (t\(\bar c\) and t\(\bar b\);) bound states, in the light of recently observed first signals of the top quark in the mass range 30 GeV≤mt≤50 GeV by the UAl group at CERN, in a static, flavour-independent nonrelativistic quark-antiquark (q\(\bar q\)) two-step potential model previously employed to study the heavy quarkonia.
