Abstract
On the basis of the analysis of owl pellets collected in the years 1975-1978 and trapping carried out from 1980 to 1982, the southern range of the root vole Microtus oeconomus (Pallas, 1776) in Poland was determined. The root vole was found in the food of owls from 29 localities and in 16 trapping locations situated at the edge of the range.
