Abstract
<i>The Source Book for the Disabled</i>is a large (8 1/4 ×11) soft-cover text that is designed for use by the physically disabled, their families, and their friends according to the statement on the cover. It is also an excellent source for rehabilitation personnel. Make no mistake, however: this is not a book that is limited to sources of rehabilitation equipment. Its main theme is to offer many helpful ideas and devices that will afford disabled persons more control over activities of daily living by providing them with useful suggestions regarding equipment and home modifications. A large section is devoted to leisure and recreational activities that are often mentioned only in passing in most texts. Also included is a comprehensive resource section that provides needed information regarding national organizations and agencies, books and periodicals, self-help equipment firms, and mail order companies.
