Abstract

Experimental (equilibrium and kinetic) and computational (DFT and TD-DFT) studies on the behaviour of Cu2+–tren complexes in aqueous solution indicate that, although their chemistry is dominated by the trigonal bipyramidal geometry, square pyramidal species can play a significant role under certain conditions.
