Russian Abstract: В тезисах доклада предпринята попытка выявления специфики различения конструктивных и деструктивных сторон социальной мифологии на пространство исторической памяти. Двойственность функции социальной мифологии для исторической памяти состоит в том, что в условиях кризиса исторического сознания и утраты определенной целостности коммеморативного пространства социальная мифология и исторические мифы оказываются одним из наиболее эффективных инструментов выработки защитного механизма, препятствующего полному распаду как индивидуальных, так и коллективных форм памяти. Однако, в то же время, миф искажает действительность. Утверждается роль ценностей гуманизма и взаимодействия культур как решающей основы для различения конструктивного и деструктивного потенциала социальной мифологии. Анализируются проблемы реализации различных проектов демифологизации.English Abstract: In the theses of the report the author makes an attempt to identify the specific features of distinguishing constructive and destructive aspects of social mythology in the space of historical memory. The dual function of social mythology for historical memory is that in a crisis of historical consciousness and the loss of a certain wholeness of the commemorative space, social mythology and historical myths are the ones of the most effective tools of developing a protective mechanism that prevents the complete disintegration of both individual and collective forms of memory. However, at the same time, the myth distorts reality. It is argued the role of the values of humanism and cultural interaction as a crucial basis for distinguishing be-tween the constructive and destructive potential of social mythology. The problems of implementation of various projects of demythologizing are analyzed.
