Abstract

The current study aims to reveal the social and physical variables associated with intellectual extremism among university youth, and the current research falls within the community-based social orientation of community development through attention to achieving intellectual security, moderation, and centrism, and the rejection of extravagance and extremism, which necessarily leads to help University youth, in particular to achieve the role assigned to them towards comprehensive development where there is a confirmed correlation relationship shown by many studies between social and physical variables and intellectual extremism among university youth, and the researchers identified a sample of (320) male and female students from the scientific and literary colleges at Al-Azhar and Ain Shams universities where the sample was chosen using the random method, The researchers used the descriptive approach, and the scale questionnaire prepared by the researchers was applied to the study sample at Al-Azhar and Ain Shams Universities in Cairo Governorate. The data were also processed using: (T) test, correlation coefficient, (Ca2) coefficient, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, weighted average percentage, numbers, and ratios for all scale questions. The study reached results including - the presence of statistically significant differences in terms of the sum of the social variables due to the variable (gender) in favor of females, the presence of statistically significant differences between students of the scientific section and students of the literary section in terms of the sum of the following social variables in favor of the scientific section, the presence of differences Statistical significance among the study sample individuals in terms of the sum of the social and physical variables for the benefit of Ain Shams University students.
