Abstract

The paper analyzes the role of the social and humanitarian component in modern conflicts. The reasons for the strengthening of the socio-humanitarian component in modern international conflicts are considered. It is noted that the social and humanitarian component not only accompanies the conflict, but is an integral part of it. In conflicts, the parties turn to the humanitarian component for two different purposes: 1) to stir up conflicts and destabilize the situation; 2) to resolve conflicts. It is indicated that conflicts will intensify in the future. This is due to the process of transformation of the political organization of the world, which encompasses all of its three main levels: the Westphalian system, the system of interstate relations and the political systems of many modern states. This transformation is accompanied by an increase in social inequality, which leads to an increase in the potential for conflict and conflicts.
