Abstract

The economic strategy of the Communist Party and the Soviet state are directed toward the solution of a broad spectrum of socioeconomic problems posed by the Party Program and recent congresses: further improving the well-being of the Soviet people, improving their working and living conditions, and bringing about significant progress in health, education, and culture. The successful solution of these problems, which would promote the comprehensive development of the individual and the improvement of the socialist way of life, is secured by the increased economic potentialities of society and by the greater social orientation of management of the national economy.
