Abstract

The vascular group at Brigham and Women's in Boston has a prolific history of important publications relating to dialysis access. As such, we should pay careful attention to their new publications, because they could illuminate new concepts or nuances in dialysis access that improve care to our hemodialysis patients. Heindel et al1 share their experience with the snuffbox fistula, a posterior radial artery branch to cephalic arteriovenous fistula (AVF) that is not widely used in the United States.
