Abstract

Objective: In 2005, the Foundation for Women's Cancer conducted a descriptive telephone survey of 700 women assessing knowledge of symptoms and concerns regarding gynecologic malignancies, focusing on ovarian cancer. They reported that only 20% of women were concerned about gynecologic cancers and 53% reported that they were not aware of symptoms associated with ovarian cancer. As endometrial cancer accounts for 6% of cancer cases and is the most common gynecologic cancer, the objective of our study was to assess patient awareness of risk factors and symptoms associated with endometrial cancer.
