The Smart Urban Planning Based on the Cluster Analysis Algorithm

Abstract

The so-called 3S technology, including remote sensing technology, geographic information system, global positioning system, can be used to collect vast amounts of data for the city. The urban planners can access to knowledge from the cluster data by using cluster analysis in data mining. This paper presents an improved DBSCAN clustering analysis algorithm, E-DBSCAN, which is then applied to the urban planning in the New Town of Yuetang in Xiangtan city and provides aid for the planners.
