Abstract

The article discusses the author's views about various aspects of end of life care, and it mentions the relationships between patients and community nurses, as well as an effort to improve community services to enable high quality palliative care for dying patients. The impact of a terminal illness on an individual's wellbeing is examined, along with a patient's independence and a nurse's ability to help patients understand their medical issues.
