Abstract
The excitation spectrum for the S 1 → S 0 fluorescence of 9,10-dibromoanthracene caused by exciting the T 1 state was measured in ethanol with a stepwise two-photon excitation technique. It was compared with the T n ← T 1] absorption spectrum and the S m ← T 1] absorption spectrum was observed for the first time.
