Abstract
The model for predicting the plastic behaviour of a crystalline aggregate under uniaxial stress from empirical data on slip in the single crystal which has been developed by Taylor and modified by Bishop and Hill, and by Lin is presented in a mathematical form which provides for the case in which the stress is not uniaxial.
