Abstract

Due to the layout of antennas and special signal processing, the clutter model of statistical MIMO radar is different from that of traditional monostatic radar. In this paper, the difference of the clutter of the statistical MIMO radar and monostatic radar is analyzed, and the statistical model of statistical MIMO radar' clutter is discussed. For statistical MIMO radar, the transmitting antennas and the receiving antennas are placed in different sites, so the clutter signal is much like that of bistatic radar. And the clutter signal output from the signal processor is comprised by the clutter from each antenna, so the clutter's statistical model is the sum function of the clutter from each antenna. The clutter statistical model after detection is analyzed. At last the simulation method of statistical MIMO radar's clutter is discussed.
