Abstract
Silica-scaled chrysophytes were studied in the region of the Czech-Moravian Highlands. A total of 40 taxa were found. Species Paraphysomonas butcheri was recorded for the first time from the territory of the Czech Republic. Synura petersenii was the most abundant species. The composition of the flora is typical of vernal phytoplankton.
